No. You need to remove the hardtop. Good Luck. We picked up our JK limited yesterday and removed the soft-top this morning. Real good fun. Not difficult, just time consuming, getting at the Torx head points for the hard top with the soft top in place.

Default Removing Soft Top

hI THERE MICQ:

I collected my JK last week - what a beauty!! To get the soft top out, you do need to undo all the torx screws holding the hard top on, including the two on the B pillar. I used my son to help hold up the hard top and then my wife pulled the soft top out backwards. In this way you will only need to lift the hard top up about 6- 8 inches so that the soft top can be pulled out. It does seem easier. Frankly, I doubt that I will use the soft top. It seems a bloody compicated rigmarole to be putting it on and off. The hard top is very good.

Happy times are here again!!! Of to Perth in 2 days time towing the van with the JK. Intend to search out lots of dirt while I am over there.

If you talk nicely to your dealer and they are not too far away, get them to take the soft top out for you, BUT, you will need another vehicle to pick it up in. It just fit in the back of my husbands ute.
