Default Diesel fill

Is any body else having to slow fill their JK on filling up with diesel, and by that I mean not using the HI-FLO pump just the normal one.

Sent a letter off to DCJ about it and they said that they knew of no faults with it. And the same answer you get from them is take it back to the dealer.

But I'm sure I read about it here on the web and that a few others had complained about the problem also.

And if so maybe a few more should write letters off to DCJ.

Newbie this topic has been covered before but after 10 000kms now I can say that its a plumbing issue but you can over come it. I only purchase caltex diesel.

Firstly start filling up very slow, gradually increase flow rate when you get 1 ltr in, keep increasing flow slowly. If you rush it will stop and you have to start again.

If by the 3-4 litre mark its still working you should be able to go full flow. This technique works every time, but only at caltex.

Also only Caltex, shell and BP guarantee that there diesel is 100% refined in OZ. Quality is important and any thing else will almost definetly have an asian flavour and is potential crap for you motor.

Good luck

There was a post a few months back about this issue. Apparently you can 'straighten' the pumbing with a pipe and hammer (if you are game enough to do that to your new car!).
