Unlike petrol which is dyed, diesel can be all sorts of colours depending of the type of crude oil that it is made from and the blend. You cannot tell 'good' or 'bad' diesel from the colour.
It is normally naturally clear with a slight blue tint but can be quite yellow too. Its only a problem if its a really dark brown colour, indicating that it might have oxidised.
