Default first upgrade ?

I'm due to take delivery of my 4 door V6 JK in the next few weeks, only 4 wheel experience has been as a passenger. Don't plan on trying anything extreme, mainly just looking at getting to few secluded fishing spots. Anyone got a recommendation for a first upgrade ? Should I just leave it as stock ?

First mod has to be recovery hooks. Don't rely on the standard tow hooks - they aren't rated for recoveries.

Even a small lift will go along way in both ride, handling and getting to your remote fishing spots without damaging your under carriage, especially as it is the unlimited model. 2 inchs will do wonders

tyres abit bigger will help with ride height and the standard ones are crap

Tyres would have to be high on my list but you have brand new ones on and the only way you can get money for those is if they havnt been driven on so tyres you should order from the dealer as they will give you a rebate on the original set. I would then buy a recovery kit with some rated shackles and straps. Rated recovery points and get a good uhf radio and a couple of spot lights for the night drives to those remote fishing spots. Some seat covers (removable) ones would be good too cause fishermen smell and noone likes a smelly Jeep.
