Default Need new rotors and brake pads....

So what does everyone use?

I have used Bendix in the past and found they squealed too much as the compound they used. Have looked at the ones on 4wd1 website and they seem ok but would like to see if anyone else has a recommendation.

I've tried several aftermarket pads, none seem to work as well as original jeep, they don't cost that much more anyway. As for rotors, you can pick em up pretty cheap off ebay, 4wd1 seems pretty reasonable too.

Depends on the budget, I went with the 300mm falcon conversion kit with twin piston calipers etc. When I did it it was cheaper than replacing with standard stuff but prices have gone up a bit now. It does make a big difference though and you can run falcon pads or Territory offroad pads.

Cheers
Steve

I got this set from 4WD1. They squeal big time. I was taking to my brake guy and he ashed if I have applied any brake unti-squeal. Im going to Repco to get some and see how they go.

When I got mine from 4WD1, they where in a different box, so not sure if they are the same as on the web site.

Can get the rotors from 4WD1 or I think Wooders has them too.

Hey Steve, when you did the abovementioned conversion,is it the same as Go jeep's or another version

Willy, sorry for hijacking thread ( damn newbie gots to learn some manners ) As for your question, I fitted a set of you beaut composit/compound bendix pads( thats what they told me) back in 1999/2000. They were good for pedal feel and improved stopping but were bit hard on the rotors. the last set I fitted are standard bendix and same as your's, squeal like a bitch so I wont be replacing them with the same. Might have to look at alternative also

I run DBA stuff. Never had a problem, the stock front rotors of theirs can warp on a long hard trip. but the top of the line gold units which are about 120 for the pair do the job! cross drilled and vented they work brilliant.
