Default What do you think of my beefy XJ steering mod?

I posted about a week ago on the XJ board for ideas on making the XJ steering more bulletproof. After listening to some ideas, here is my version of Heavy Duty.

I used Schedule 80 seamless tubing, 5mm thick. With 20mm heim joints (rod ends). As you can see I don't use a steering stabiliser, I believe that a correctly setup steering system doesn't need one.

Gone is the crappy Y setup that's prone to bumpsteer and bending.

Did I hear you say you want one?

Yeah sure it would work on a TJ, might need some adjustment.

However, with the liability issue thing that Australia has, there is no way I could ever sell what I just made. My XJ is in Indonesia.

But i'm also a proud member of the She'll be Right Gang!

True and not true. There is something similar some one has made in the UK I believe, yes I got my inspiration from this. But I took it two steps further with beefier knuckle reinforcements, bigger heims, bigger tubing, and a drag link that's not bent to clear the diff/stabiliser mountings.

Does that mean I will get discount? ( Gang member) If you were to give it to me free of charge then there would be no liability issue!!!!
