Default can anyone identify this connector?

While rooting about this avo I noticed this hanging down under the fuel filter/black canister thing (what is that thing called again?)

Do you think that this is the cause? Looks like the wire to the switch that tells you you have water in your diesel!

hmm... the water in filter sensor is connected up ok, its the coolant level sensor thats lit up.. (that sensor is on the other side of the engine, still mystified by that issue.. )

I don't remember disconnecting this connector .. I'll have another poke around and see if anything less obvious is missing one

Ok do a test of the wire and see if you have power there. Also remove the wire from the coolant senor and see if the light on the dash goes out.

There's loads of connectors loose on the diesel, I think they just used a petrol harness and used what they needed and left the rest disconnected. I hate seeing them all loose but they serve no purpose. If nothing (else) is wrong then it'll be a blank.
