Dont even think about adding a single cardon in the conversion. Only do a double cardon. I have had to change out a single cardon conversion for someone as a 'leading' Jeep place had fitted and it never cured the vibes it had.

Do it yourself, I got the Rubicon Express Hack & Tap kit from wooders for $810 with a double cardon shaft and fitted it myself, well with help from a mate. All up took about 20-25 mins including cutting the shaft, drilling the hole out and tapping the center. I was going to pay around the $1600 mark for a Tom Woods one but although the H&T seems crude I am yet to find someone unhappy with it. I researched all the US forums and made up my mind from there. I had the dry Slip Yolk though which helped but am happy as could be with it.

Craig,

I also bought the Rubicon Express hack & Tap.

The double cardan drive shaft comes ready to bolt in.

Cut the output shaft, easy remove shaft with car in 2WD and reverse hold the angle grinder with a cutting wheel and done in a few minutes.

I had more trouble drilling and tapping, but that was down to my ignorance that when drilling steel you go slow, i just had the drill flat out and burnt the end that then obviously dulled the cutting edge, after buying a new drill bit was fine.

Yep, you have to give measurements as it all depends on the lift height. I think the Rubicon site tells you where to measure from and too, I did mine years ago and cant remember exactly now.

Cheers
