Default AUS service rip off

Just noticed in an American car mag an article on JK 4dr where he mentioned the cost of a 6000mile and 12000mile service. Total cost was $131.00 US for both services (oil, filters, vehicle inspection & Tyre rotation). Done at a jeep service centre.

I guess if we factor in exchanged rate then we should being pay around $75 Aus. But I need to add on top the bullshit service factor of $200.

sorry to correct your economics on a Jeep forum but if factor in exchange rate we would pay more not less than the U.S, but i get what you mean.
We pay more for ARB air lockers that a made here in Aus than the U.S pay for them once we have exported it to them

Americans do not have to import Mobil 1 oil from America @ $16.00 per litre, Americans do not have to import ALL there parts from America. Americans don't have to fly their technicians to Melbourne to get training. Americans don't have to pay top dollar to get technicians so they can try and get the best people they can to work on YOUR car because you expect the best.
if you really think that Jeep dealers are that much of a rip off, try and imagine just how many hours are given away every day just for customer relations, or how many hours are wasted EVERY day telling your corner garage how to fix your car because they don't know how.

COME ON MATE! WHICHEVER WAY YOU LOOK AT IT $340 BUCKS FOR A SERVICE IS A RIPP OFF. You guys need to get more competitive with price if you wanna see customers return to you for services. All dealerships are the same, ive had other car makes aswell and ALL dealership are the same. So ALL of you wont be getting my biz until you lower prices... SIMPLE
