Default things that go bump!not just in the night!

arhhhh there is this clunk and knock sound in the front end of my recently purchased kj! It is a 02 sport done 99k and one previous owner which to my knowledge didnt go off road in it( source could b wrong!) ball joints were replaced and new engine mounts fitted, but the noise still there all the time over every little bump.Does anyone have any ideas what it could b? major or easy fixed prob help plz......

Could be sway bar bushes. If so, spray with Lanotec or something like that.

I have lots of ideas, just not sure how relevant they are!

Depends on the type of knocking when it happens and where it is coming from. Classically a 'knocking' noise is associated with suspension on it's way out, but that's just my take. Is the noise from one side or all across? Is the front end visibly sagging? If you push down on the front does it bounce up and down or settle (you can also test this while driving by applying the brakes a little harshly and seeing if the car rocks back and forth)? Is there any fluid coming from the struts?

Probably loose shock or swaybar link.
Get someone to bounce front while you look around for source of noise.
