Default Anyone here installed the Mopar remote start?

Apparently the harness is already there and it's just plug and play but you need a dealer flash which I doubt they'd have in Australia as I think remote starts may be illegal here.

I looked into it, but it only works on Jeeps that are missing the man pedal

I don't think they will work anyway without the rolling code key in the lock to start with will they - i thought that was the point of the coded keys.

From what I understand this is what you get the dealers to alter in it's brain.

With the kit you get 2 new keys with start buttons in addition to lock/unlock the dealer has to reprogram your computer to accept the remote start kit, then syncs it with all your keys, the remote start keys do the rolling code thingy too.
I just don't think dealers would do this flash in Aus as I think remote starts are illegal here.
Would be really handy as I always run my JK for a couple of minutes before taking off, especially in cold weather.
