I wont be a 30% increase as you will fine it has smaller tubes to fit it in. I didn't like my 3 row and went back to a 2 row and it cooled much better. 3 rows only work well at speed when the is enough airflow through the core. Didn't work well offroad for me.
You water pump wont have trouble at all so long as it is in good condition.

i have found that most people stick with the 2 core as the 3 core restricts the coolant flow and can make it run hotter. i have a 3core at the moment, great when driving, tought to keep the temp down below 105 when idling in traffic for few minutes at a time

i put a 3 core from aussie desser coolers in my xj, and never had another cooling issue again. Aircon on sittin in drive thrus, offroad, sand, highway, all good. And it was a shagged out old 96 xj with 230 000 km. Must have just been lucky by the sounds of it.
