Xj Drawer Unit
Hi guys I started a project to build a modular twin drawer, twin fidge slide, battery unit and compressor assembly for the back of our Xj. I wanted it modular so I can just use whichever part that I want for different activites.
The unit needed to hold a Waeco 50lt and a Waeco 35lt fridge, a 120A/h AGM battery and a compressor, as well as a couple drawers big enough to hold camera gear and/or laptop(in a locked drawer) as well as recovery gear and other bits and pieces.
The battery has a homemade/modified controller comprising a 70a relay and a Waeco unit designed for their cheaper coolers that don't have built in low voltage cut-out, this is all connected to the vehicle via a cigarette lighter outlet and an Anderson plug mounted in the storage area.
