Hey man,

I personally haven't done the track, I know people who have and they don't think its too hard (similar to what's around Wilbinga). All I know about Wilbinga is that the conditions can change heaps everytime you go there. I've been there and my mates X-Trail made it through the majority of the place with any issues, and other times where the same places the X-Trail made it before, I was struggling because the sand was so much softer and boggier. And the beach can be very very boggy, if its just you, I would say definately stay off the beach.

Not exactly what you were asking about, but its all I know.

Have a good weekend!

If you care about legalities it might be worth checking what's legal around there. I forget (because i don't care) exactly what's legal and whats not out there but just thought i'd give you the heads up.

The biggest challange is crossing the moore and be careful on the Beach as if gets boggy as ********.

Ben

last time we were there, they erected signs at the river mouth, put up some barricading, still quite easy to get around.. but definitely not legal. if you do come across this, there doesn't appear to be any way of getting around it.. all of the land along the southern bank of the moore river is private property and the farmers absolutely _HATE_ the 4x4's. Most of the fences and gates are dilapidated, so sometimes it's hard to actually tell if you're in private property or not, although most of wilbinga is private property.

so it's not easy, the legal way would be to take the wilbinga exit at the wilbinga grove parking bay, and head up wannaroo road, over the moore river, into the town, and then down onto the beach from there.
