Default soon to be jeep convert

Hi all.
I currently have a Mazda BT-50 for 4x4ing duties. its served us well with the awesome fuel economy, but we're looking to get something a bit smaller and more capable off road.
I've always liked the wranglers having briefly driven a few.

We're probably looking at a little hardtop one , but thats all we've decided on so far, Now i'm just trying to look around and get all the info i can on what to look for and difference's in models/years etc.

any help would be appreciated....

I'll try to look around thouroughly before i post any stupid questions.

thanks

Better go diesel if you have been spoilt with the fuel economy of the Mazda BT-50. Only thing of the Mazda pickup negative in June was no cruise so got the Nissan Navara 40.. Yep! Still got my TJ & XJ & Rocsta SWB (almost Jeep,as Superwinch free wheel hubs for Jeep fit it,Jeep drop splined steer arm fits etc and was originaly made under licence to Jeep)

thanks for the replys

We're looking at a TJ. probably want to spend around 15k, mabe up to 20k for a nice one.
Is there a section on the forum that explains to me what models/ years had what specs???
i've noticed there aren't many hardtops for sale.... is it hard to convert them from soft to hard top???
the soft top wouldn't worry me too much, but the one thing i don't want to have is the plastic door windows. i've noticed that some seem to have them and some have the glass. could you fit the glass window'd doors onto the others??? . I'd assume so. I Work in a panel shop so the changeover would not be much of a problem if its posible.

thanks again for the help.
