Default Help --- UHF Anttena Cable

G'day.

I have recently purchased a GME tx3100 UHF radio. I have mounted the UHF antenna on the ARB bull bar (from mount).

I have found power without any issues

I know this has probably been asked before, but where/how do I get the antenna coax through the engine body? For the life of me i can not find where cables go through the firewall.

It would be great if some one can post photos on how to do this.

I have looked for previous posts and can not find anything that looks like what I am after.

Almost ready to pay some on to route the cable through the firewall, I can then do the rest without any problems.

have a really good search right back. there were a couple of threads on this that went on for ages. there is a spot on the passenger side, if you feel under the dash to the extreme left where the main wiring harness comes through the firwall. can use that one. there is also another one on the driver side. mine comes through the grommet on the passenger side. few people have found other spots. if you can't find the thread use that one. i'm sure you will get a heap of other responses to this query though.

If you have a CRD, there is a grommet in the Firewall up behind the battery which is an easy way to feed through a cable.

ON both sides there should be a plug in the firewall where you can poke a hole into.. Here is what I did on the LH side for my aux lights and the same I did on the RH side for my Ham radio feed from the battery..

Thanks.

I will have a look for these plug holes. Although, I do not recall there being any holes there.. But must admit was not really looking for them.

Mine had a hole in the Firewall about the size of a 50 piece that was filled with like a styrophome..

Poked a hole through it and pulled it through with wire - no wuckers!
