As mentioned a while back. P7 succesfully tendered for a federally funded NRM project to conduct community consultation and engagement as follows...
1. Develop and distribute a code of practice for recreational access to tidal wetlands.
2. Develop and deliver a training program for commercial and recreational users of sandy foreshores, based upon best management practice principles developed through community consultation.
This project is all about getting 4wders, to spread the word about sustainable 4wding...
Forumites in SEQ/Wide Bay are invited to become involved directly, but i would encourage anyone interested in the 4wd community standing up and being seen to be doing good for the environment for the benefit of future generations to followour progress and development.
The fact that this tender was won by a 4wder, and not a uni, or conservation group should indicate that the Burnett Mary Regional Group is serious about seeing real outcomes, behaviour change, and community engagement.
