Exclamation WH Protection

Just had a 2" OME suspension lift and ARB fitted and when I checked with the local Jeep dealer about getting some protection underneath, they said the usual three plate kit wont fit?
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
What is most at risk and what have you done to protect it.

Huh? The plates don't go anywhere near the suspension AFAIK. All mine are still there with a 3" lift....

Jagsy,

The dealership which told you that rubbish - could it have been Wanneroo Jeep? Had some dodgy advice from them previously.

The Skid Plate kit is mounted to the front apron (sump guard) to rear cross member, rear cross member to trans cross member (t'fer case guard), and fuel tank.

Neither come close to the strut & wishbone assemblies - mine were fitted by Maddington Jeep with no problems.

I have a spare sump guard plate & transfer case guard plate you are welcome to - they are taking up space in one of my sheds. I don't have the plate for the fuel tank.

PM me if you are interested.

Take it easy!

Hi Jagsy, I also added a plate that attaches to the ARB bullbar and connects with the first plate. This protects particularly the hoses on the lower portion of the radiator. I had previously knocked one of these off. From memory it was about $100 custom fitted.

Thanks guys for the feedback...
Whilst not wishing to go off topic, has anyone got any news on the new snorkels for the WH yet?

PM me if you are interested.

Take it easy!
