Default What Grand Should I Buy

Hi everyone,

I have been looking for a 4x4 for the last two years. Now I am seriously at the point where I am about to get one (next two months). I have all but decided on a Grand Cherokee for a few reasons.

1: I like the idea of not owning a Patrol or Cruiser
2: The Jeep Engine
3: Economy out of a big engine
4: Cross between a lux 4x4 and something that if done right can go anywhere
5: Something the misses approves of
6: PRICE

So with all that said, what would you all say is the best grand to buy for off-road (1999 and up). I am happy to get the diesel if it will provide with better off road ability. Obviously the V8 sounds better but in the end I want this thing to go offroad. Im looking at spending a max of 20k.

I will be lifting the car prob just the 2" and front and rear lockers will go in if possible. I will be looking at options to gain max flex out of the vehicle also.

Thanks heaps guys/girls hopefully I can be steered in the right direction.

There's SHITLOADS of problems with most Grand's. Mine has had almost every major problem.

Lucky for you, I've fixed them all and now it's for sale.

Here is my build up:

I swear my Jeep was built on a Friday or something!!

Luckily now all the creases are ironed out - but I have to sell it as we need two cars now rather than one expensive one.
