Default for any PS3 owners - error 8001050F

error 8001050F "You have been signed out of the playstation network" related to a time/date leap year error has affected millions of "fat" ps3's.
(120gb and slim ps3's are uninterrupted)

as most games require trophy data to run (even offline) the PS3 is rendered pretty much useless. trophy data could also be completely lost once a resolution is found

Sony have advised to not even switch on the console until further notice (too late for me)

Some speculate that a Trojan/hack attached itself to the 3.15 update, set to a March 1st activation (you may have noticed your date has been completely reset)

it's not all bad news, more time for wheeling!

yeah mines got the same error msg, I thought it was only effecting the older model ps3s not the slimline ones. Gona be a sony shit storm if it isnt sorted out pretty quickly, hopefully they can fix it with a new update. I can only get certain older games working, it better not be bricked.

Sony are claiming slim units aren't effected, you might want to jump on to twitter and show otherwise!
