Default Bending cast steel

I broke the ball joints on my d30 the other day and it has bent the "C" section that holds the steering knuckle by about 10mm-12mm, spent all day heating and bending with a bar as a lever to pull it back down.

My question is to all you engineering gurus, how strong is cast steel after you heat it and bend it, i got it nearly to the point of glowing red and it was only 10mm, would you trust it? ?Its only until i can pick up another housing or upgrade. It feels as strong as fook..but i heard it crystalizes the metal and makes it really weak..

feel free to flame me, excuse the pun...
