Default 6 speed TJ transmission oil

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out on how much transmission fluid to put in an '06 TJ Wrangler 6-speed manual?

The dealer says "I think it's about 2 and a half litres", Pennzoil reference says 1.7-1.9l, others say fill it up until it starts coming out the filler hole...

Only problem is the closest dealer is 2 hours away, don't really want to get home to find that 2 bottles (for $100 mind you...) isn't enough.

Cheers

thats for a five speed!

NSG six speed gearbox takes 1.58 quarts (about 1.4 litres) Mopar part # 04874464AA
(meets Mopar MS-9224 specs)

it is sold in one US Quart containers and for you youngsters a US quart is about 0.95 litres, so therefore you have to buy two bottles, and it aint cheap as you know

when you fill it up just enough until minimum level is about 5mm below fill hole to a maximum level of when a slight dribble pours out of it.

Thanks guys, I think that sorta helped... Here's hoping 2 litres is enough!

On a side note, I knew it would be expensive, it's more about getting the right amount for me this time.
