Default Wheel Spacers

Hey guys, does anyone here use wheel spacers on their commander to help fit wider rubber. Are these legal for road use??

If so where can they be bought in AUS and how much $$$ roughly.?

Also do you need to do front and rear wheels??

Cheers Allen.

I believe that wheel spacers are not legal in oz ask your local rego mob then consider insurance issue. Look at your offsets talk to somebody that knows front end geomatry and finally for my two bobs worth it appears that a lift kit is the way to go for bigger rubber.

Most people go for replacement springs, Kings Springs do a set of h/d 50mm lift, which in most states is the max allowable. To put 265 x 65 or 70's on you will need rims with a different backspace +30mm or less. Wanderers website has a lot of good info on wheels.

Yeah i thought as much. What i really want out of my Commander is basically a 2" lift and at least some 265x70x17 rubber without the need of changing wheels!! Something that will get me out in the scrub for some light 4x4ing

You won't get 265 x 70's on the standard rims without rubbing on the upper ball joint bolt. Spacers as stated are illegal to use in Australia as far as I know.
