Hi there, just hunting around to see if anyone has imported a converted RER to REP mygig. Have been qouted $1700 inc shipping. Here is the link http://www.mygigs.eu/

I got mine at time of delivery, no idea what version etc... it is.

Good find but I think you may have your wires crossed.

- The site states "Our units are NOT converted US navigation systems. These units are the official European navigation systems (MyGig REW Systems). These are very hard to come by, and at wholesale prices, these units are the best you will find. Some of our MyGig units are refurbished, but most are brand new and all of them come in the box with warranty. Take a look at our FAQ for more info."

So these units are not converted from anything else, what gave you the impression that they are converted units?

- The units for sale are RBZ/REN and REW these are not compatible with Australian maps. The unit that is, the REP is mentioned but not sold.

Did the company inform you privately that the REP is for sale?

My understanding after emails from seller is that the unit comes complete except without au maps and also without warranty

When you say "Have been qouted $1700 inc shipping" in your OP does that mean you spoke with www.myGigs.eu and they told you they could sell you an REP unit? If so the $1700 is worth it if you get warranty.

my understanding is that is is an RER unit converted to REP. My guess is that they flash firmware and eproms etc. They state that they are official mygig dealers in the eu and that they require your vin number as well. Dont believe there is any warranty but am still waiting a reply on that. Also comes with no maps so that will be an extra cost.
