Default mopar shocks

I have finally recieved my new rubicon.I asked the dealer to put in the mopar springs that i already have into it when it goes for its 1000 km check. He told me that i would have to change the shocks as well and mentioned some thing about the sway bar disconects.I am sure i have read on this forum that you do not need to replace the shocks.I asked about the mopar shocks and was told that they are still not avaible and to get a after market one instead.I know forum members have these shocks. Can some one tell me if i need these shocks and where i can get them from with prices.

Nah you dont have to change the shocks... I told my dealer that I wanted springs and shockies, why well still cost me the same so why not. Also the lovell shockies are cr@p loads better than the standrd thin black jeep ones.

I dont have anything else except the 2" spring and shocks. they never installed anything else. I also have a 4dr sport...

BTW the shocks are certianly available... I would cancel the lift order from the dealer and speak to Fletch or North Cost Wrangler on here, fletch workks/manages or owns his own dealership, NCW, not sure how he is connected but he is somehow...

Cheers

I'm considering those Mopar 2" springs as a cheap stop-gap, are there any problems with going springs only, other than (assumed) limited downtravel?

No; I would not think there would be any problems just doing the springs...

You will only start having problems when you get the jeep flexing... as you have already mentioned...

Do the shocks change the ride at all? Soften/stiffen it at all?

I have found the ride a heap better than stock, but as I said both were done at the same time... I knwo the dealer (who has since quit) drove my car and his jeep, he told me that there was a noticable difference between mine and his (with springs only)... could be dealer talk or could be true... I personally believe him.
