but if he claims to sell them usually at the high price, then he is well with in his rights to do so... its not like he has sold em for "x", then hiked em up to "y" then "discounted" them back to "x"
There is nothing from any retailer selling their products for any price they like.
What is illegal is falsely advertising a product at a greatly inflated price then "discounting" the item to a "special" low price.
It is exactly the same as real estate agents "under quoting" property when they know full well that it's not the real price.

The law does not allow him to advertise falsely. His "was" price however high it is has to have been offered to his customers without discount for a period of 6 months prior to this promotion.
Oh and the supplier/distributor of the tyres would have been the one to tell him to take the RRP title off the price.
On closer look that special listed at the top of the thread currently has only 18 minutes remaining.... Will be interesting to see what happens to the price when the timer runs out!
