Swapped the lightbar for a pair of 9" 4WDSuperCentre LED lights.

How good are they! Beats the crap out of a light bar huh!! Ps: keen to see your operating temperatures now. Like how you left a gap in the middle though. ECB bars have less space in the middle loop. Will probably help with cooling. Let me know.

I just used the standard mount points, which are a raised bracket. I may try taking the brackets off and mounting the lights directly to the bar itself. It will be harder to do up the nuts - but then, harder for the low-lifes to undo them, too - and I can use the extra two bolts per light. It will also mount them a little lower, which will help airflow.

I only had time to drive down to the local footy oval - I live in the inner suburbs... - but they certainly seem impressive. Much better throw than the light bar or square Karr lights. Hopefully I'll get the chance to try them out in the bush soon.

By the way, anyone have a safe method of getting the annoying black lettering off the lenses?

Cheers

Did you get the new LT version? I've been very happy with my Coopers but am considering moving to the LT version when I next need to replace. My local tyre dude had a set in his shop when I was down there today and they have a much deeper tread than the normal "light duty" version.

Yep, I got the LT construction. Haven't gone offroad at all with them yet so can't comment on anything in that respect, but so far have had no concerns with road noise and didn't get any uncomfortable moments on Perth's wet roads this week.

Default Washer Jet

I just replaced my driver's side washer jet. How the hell it could break is beyond me, but it did.
I picked up a new one at the Stealership:

How much do you reckon it would cost? $5? $10? $20?

How about $51.70????? For a piece of plastic??????? The same sort of thing for an irrigation system is a few bucks, if that. Good it wasn't the passenger side one. That has an inlet and an outlet - it could over $100!

And, the hose didn't reach the new one. Fortunately I had some spare fuel hose the correct inner diameter...

Also replaced the glass in the driver's wing mirror - $133 later... At least that has a heater element and is made out of a few different bits...

Cheers

PS I'd love to know how the washer jet managed to get broken...
