What did I do to my Grand Cherokee? I sold it... [emoji22] I’m sure I will miss it a lot, but I’m confident I’ll be happy with the replacement too...

After getting sick of trying to tie stuff down on the roof rack while reaching over the awning and shovel holder from the side steps, I fitted a Gobi ladder.

It makes life so much easier.

I've also got one of those door latch brackets. The final straw for me was trying to pack up camp in the pissing rain and having to keep the door open.

I've got a pretty small boot and after serving on ships most of my adult life I'm not too bad in climbing a ladder. Having said that, I fell out of the boot a couple of months ago when removing my dual battery, badly twisting my knee I was lucky that as I fell I had enough time to place the battery on top of my fridge. I'd hate to think what would have happened if it fell on me.

That's a good point you bring up though, I might buy myself some stick on anti slip tape for the rungs.

Ouch Nanook, you were in the boot and fell out?
I'm always standing on the rear tyre to stack stuff on the roof, easy as.

Last Grand I got the shits with trying to pack stuff in the rain, so bought the Ute witha nice shed on back, heaps of room if raining open door which doubled as a porch roof and throw stuff in, now I'm back where I was, last trip minimal on rack and next trip even less, decided I don't need some stuff..bugga the ladder I would go arse over just trying for the bottom step...lol,lol,lol.................

Today I looked at my service board in shed, the box marked sensors was empty with just a question mark, so I wheeled the jeep into the shed, ripped out the MAP and MAF then saw why the ?????, the shelf where the cleaner should be was empty and some idiot had forgot to get more, the MAP hasn't been done since I bought it so it was super yuck, cleaned with intake cleaner and metho all nice nice now, next check it should be just sooty not oily...

I also pulled off for good the engine cover, I had tested temps with it on and off, no great change but the amount of dirt collecting in there was enough to rip it off for good, makes checks and servicing so much easier...........
