The workbench has all the bits laid out, oil, filters, spanners and plenty of rags, big service today including the Tranny, set everything up yesterday arvo so i just have to throw it on the ramps and start, no ginning around getting the stuff sorted, might keep the swearing in check, especially as its raining so I'm leaving the boat in the shed, so long as I don't spill diesel when I change the filters or tranny oil I'll be happy.......... getting a sort of 100K @ 90K service, leaving the diffs till next service............. I really don't enjoy this stuff nowadays............... I would love a hoist or a pit, or a good mate who has one even better.

I doubt I would be able to drive either, you'll have to bring the camper so we can overnight....

Rain around so I just did a quick warm up and changed engine stuff and fuel, roads looked dried out so may get to go for a burn to get tranny warmed up after lunch, don't want drippy crap over me while a wallow underneath ... I'm really forcing myself but it's gotta be done....

Just spent 4 hours doing the Tranny service, talk about swimming in oil, had to make a new special tool as my previous went walking, I like to collect the old oil to inspect it so the bluddy bung falls into the funnel and clogs it, all over the damn shed floor and me, talk about pissed, next time its going to the tranny shop, no hoist or pit so stuff it, too damn hard even 100m higher...........

Is not pleasant at all, has happened when I could walk under the vehicle but laying on the ground on your back is so much worse, not the first time but certainly the last, I will now gladly fork out the $650 next time after confirming they use the correct pan and oil. Tody the shed gets a scrub and then its bash plates on, oh bum still have TC to do...........
