I had a look at it at the auto africa show last year. Take a look at the suspension and tell me thats on the same as the KJ? Could be wrong but looked the same.

I hate it when a newer and nicer model, that I don't have, comes along. I'm happy. The 2008 Liberty is is real ugly in my eyes.

I don't like this new model. It won't grow on me either. It just looks wrong. That front is just wrong.

Hi SalesGuy, I have read elswhere that the CRD nitro has the W5A580 box in it, hence the full 460nm, any ideas if the Cherokee will have this or the 400nm limited 5-45RFE box?

Also, anyone that has seen the nitro, has the under sump clearance been improved with the new setup, this could provide a pointer to possible improvements in the cherokee considering the higher ride height.

i'll pay that too.

those headlights front on are pretty bad & the way the flares / wheel arches intrude into the grossly oversize lenses just compramises the whole look of the front end - looks pretty stupid really.

mind you, this is the closest acknowledgement from daimler that they stuffed up by killing the xj shape the way they did, in a way its like the xj has finally returned - dont you think? - & im happier for that.....that kj.......urggghh.

Na, I think it looks more like the size and shape of the old holden jackaroo only with a much uglier front, the new jeep patriot looks more like decent replacement for the xj, very similer size and shape, apparently its slightly taller and longer than the xj, trouble is its only 4 cylinder with front wheel drive layout, it's supposed to be trailrated and may well be a pretty good car standard but for us enthusiasts who like to modify our rigs it doesnt give us much of a basis to work from, guess we will just have to be happy with the JK

Nosliwedaw

The nitro at the auto africa show was a CRD and looked the same as the KJ and had the same sump gaurd on it.
