Default KK 18" tyres

I suggest anyone with 18" rims like me get rid of them. I have been trying for some weeks now to get some all terrain tyres in a 235/60/18 configuration and they are simply unavailable. Pirelli Scorpion ATR have not been available for 6 months in this size and although Hancook list their Dynapro ATM in that size it is a furphy; they don't have them in Australia.Kumho KL51 is listed as an All Terrain tyre in this size but it certainly doesn't look the goods as far as tread is concerned. So, even if you want to get rid of the Goodyear Eagles and replace with an All terrain version, you can't, they don't exist. I'll keep everyone posted but it looks like my KK will be going to Birdsville with standard Eagles on it.

Hey digger, I was fortunate 2 years ago to get a set of the pirelli scorpion at's and they have been great. At the time the atr's were also listed but not available in Australia. Got them through jax quickfit. I have however just bought some second hand set of kj 16" rims and have ordered a set of BF Goodrich KM2's. Depending on how well the new ones go on the road I may have a second hand set, plus a spare that hasn't touched the road. Only problem with the 18's is that I can't pressure them down enough for my liking, but they are great in the road and gravel.

They do these in a 255/60/18 http://www.generaltire.com.au/tires/...ber-ATsup2-sup They are a very good tyre. I have see some 18's on a couple of disco 4's here in Melbourne.

Default KK Tyres

Thanks for the tip Dave on the GT's but I was lucky enough to source four new 18" Pirelli Scorpion ATRs out of Brisbane which fixes things for now.
The big question now is will KJ rims fit the KK? Has anyone done this to a KK Limited? Obviously the 17" Sport rims fit, but, being a current model they will be harder to come by I expect at a reasonable price.

Hey Digger, I have the 16" KJ Rims going on with the BF Goodrich tomorrow from Jax once again. A different store this time, but once again they have come through for me on price and timing. Ordered the KM2's with a backorder date for delivery on the 15th and they have come in early. I will post some Pic's tomorrow night if all goes well.

Hello Digger, I run 16" steel KJ rims on my '08 KK Limited. Actually just put them back on an hour ago for the Jeep Muster this weekend. They fit no problem with 225/75/16 cooper stt's.

Looking for 2 more of these rims actually. If anyone knows any, let me know.
