Default turbo pipe blew !!

driving my 2dr CRD today, come out of a corner in 3rd, put the boot in....POP,
WTF..... got no power.

Thinking I had blown the turbo, checked under bonnet, checked under the car, no oil, no excessive smoke to indicate blown turbo.

Ohwell figuring a trip to Jeep was probably on the cards I started driving home , Driving in traffic I could still hear the turbo spinning, but I could hear a sound similar to air rushing out of a tyre. Ok took a second look, bingo its got to be the intercooler to turbo pipe, so I ripped out the air box and felt along pipe.

Bingo bloody big split 30-40mm long pissing air out

I ring jeep with part no and am told yeap your the first to do this part, part is in Singapore and will be upto 14days ! holy crap, this is the second time I have been told this.

I am going to Rushcutters Jeep tommorow as they recon they can do a temp patch ( Don't recon this will work as there is a bit of pressure ? anybody know how much)

It really is ridiculous how long you need to wait for parts for these things! Thank God I haven't had any problems so far (touch wood)!

I really, really, really, really don't get this. Surely it'd be more cost effective to buy a big block of land in the middle of no where, built a huge bloody shed on it, and stock even one of each part, than individually ship parts from Singapore? They could bring in container loads and save on shipping.

And CJ can't understand why we as owners become upset when we have to wait for something when it should already be in the warehouse here.

They are so slack at the moment or another good one I found is they want you to pay for the part upfront.

Just give us the parts.

14 days isn't to bad for CJ , I had to wait 6 or 7 weeks for my new battery to come from Germany .
