Thanks for the reply I'm going to open up again and inspect further today, may even pull the centre out. The oil had some light fragments of shavings but nothing major.

I did a test with the torque app and it get to around 2000psi by the second crank and in the 4000psi range when running. Also i can hear the buzzing from the pump when the key is in the on position.
