With respect to the vehicle...... my "people" are crunching numbers, so hopefully RUB 07 will have a new home where (is it a he or a she Silver?) it will be loved and used as intended.

But you're right, the engine is running @650rpm, and the check engine light is on!... maybe the latte machine isn't quiet warm enough yet?

Pessimist is the word you're looking for.

I have found out that the check engine light comes default in a petrol JK. The computer is questioning why a vehicle with ESP and traction control built in 2007/2008/2009 still has pushrod valve operation.

Hi there,

Am a recent LR to Jeep convert as well (I used to have a Disco IIa V. I love the Jeep, and have not had (touch wood!!) any real issues with it. Bought it from Adelaide City Jeep who have been great, and took it in there just recently to get the ESP re-callibrated after putting a 2" Lift (Rancho 9000x - very good) and 33" tyres (BFG All-Terrain, also very good) and it now handles well.

Just started getting the top off in the warmer weather down here, and although I loved the LR for the ride quality and the 'luxury level' compared to the Jeep, the Wrangler is far more fun and with the lift kit offers a comparable ride.

Furthermore, the Landy was about to hit me up for some very VERY expensive repairs, so happy to have a newer car now as well!

There's a lot of complaints and niggles on this forum, and some very useful fixes as well (especially the transfer case cable fix!) However as my car was built be an obviously dilligent bloke (mexican?), who was not peeved at Jeep at the time, it appears to be fairly well bolted together....

Am a convert (although still have a hankering to buy an old ex-military lightweight short-wheelbase LR as a project car!)

Default What Happened?

Hi All

Very sadly missed out on the vehicle. Dealer an I could not agree on price.... very sad but it happens...... would have loved the vehicle!

The question is, does anyone know what happened to it? It is pretty unique and being what it is, is likely to turn up on the circuit soon....
