DOH! Well, I'm replacing the O2's anyway because as mentioned in another thread I took them out and "cleaned" them knowing full well they needed to be replaced and a day or so after doing this the car started stalling again.... back to the drawing board then!

Is that a 60 litres usable OR volume rated tank design? all things being "spot on" that mileage works out to be 13.33L/100Km not too shabby at all! cruising at a maximum of 80Kph?

Well, as a typical Diesel driver I should state that I can get 8l/100km on the highway.

But:
- no passing
- no hard accelerating
- not faster than 90km/h

City and short trip is much higher: up to 10l/100km

Adelaide man, for some reason we have the cheapest fuel in the country. Buggard if I know why especially since we lost the refinery and now all fuel is imported.

changed the 02 sensors, distributer cap & leads, platinum plugs, 5w penrite oil instead of 10w, added 100ml of MBL. Replaced the PCV valve although there was nothing wrong with that. Which I realised after I bought the part. I read on another post there is supposed to be a ball inside which rattles. I dont know where they got that idea (the rattling ball that is), unless the 98 XJ 4.0 is some how different cause neither the genuine nor the afterrmarket has a ball inside. Run Caltex Vortex as it seems to give me longer periods before refill. Besides it is much cleaner.
I hope to get the injectors cleaned and replace the regulator/filter just need to order the filter from the States as they are too expensive in Aust. I have the strainers from the States, unfortunatly Rock Auto dont stock the filter/regulator.
