I like a chair with a foot rest, very civilized camping.

I just bought a ridiculous torch from there (the Olight SR90) and their service is excellent!

Just thought I would share that and pose the question - where do you all get your camping / outdoor equipment from?
Did the light arrive? How does it perform?

How did you go about charging the battery pack? Did you need to get an australian 240v plug?

cheers

I work at Ray's Outdoors in Toowoomba.

the staff discount there is pretty good too, and works for us, BCF and Super Cheap, (which i call Super Jeep Auto, because i have spent so much money there already since i bought the XJ)

By the way, we do have the hunter chair there. Comfy chair it is too.

hey mate,

the light did arrive. It took 4 days to get to my door.

It's awesome! I have a 5 acre lot, which is about 300-400 metres long and I can shine all the way to bottom, and clearly see what is going on. The low setting is even enough. I am extremely happy with it!

As for the charing, the charge pack that came with it was rated 110v-2v40v, and was the same as a laptop charge pack. So i just got a kettle cord power lead and used that - works fine.

WOW.... A $500 torch.. I dont think I have ever seen that before! But boy is it bright (just watched the video on the site).

I find SuperDear Auto and BCF both not cheap at all, they simply sell cheap stuff at not so cheap prices. The other thing that annoys me is the price differences between the two. We have them next door to each other up here and I needed to buy some two stroke oil for the boat the other weekend in a hurry. Dropped in to BCF and the cheapest marine oil they had (Valvoline from memory) was $36. Went next door to SC and the same oil was $24.

About a year ago I needed to replace the springs on the boat trailer. Smallest 3 leaf springs (only a little tinny) were $129 at SC, but the same springs next door at BCF were $88.

Fortunately I have a massive Anaconda store next door to work

Thanks. I ordered a Klarus ST20 from goinggear.com (thanks to your post) and it has just arrived. I went with the cheapest postage and it took 2 weeks. It ain't no 2200 lumen monster but it's 240 lumen output from 2x AA's blows away my 4D maglight i have been carrying around, and it fits in the palm of my hand Plus it's got all those cool programmable modes

cheers
