Best price I found was ebay;
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OPTIMA-YE...#ht_2042wt_928

$245 with free delivery for the D34 (petrol motor).

I bought my blue top for my 3.8l JKU from the same place. Went with the blue top over the yellow because of the extra terminals where I can easily connect up the winch wires when I need it and disconnect them when I don't.

I think the Blue Top is the marine version isn't it? Yes it does have more terminals and I think it's more vibration resistant as well.

I fitted a winch isolator switch on my A pillar to solve the winch issue.

IIRC the blue top is a "marine battery" designed to be more tolerant of long term discharge (semi deep cycle) then the Yellow Top.

I think the tradeoff is slightly lower CCA rating, but i've never experienced any starting issues and i've had it for about a year now.

The extra terminals are a definite plus for a winch or whatever.

Mine came from Battery Business ( AJOR Vendor ) and was well priced with excellent interstate delivery. I'd buy from them again.

AFAIK Optima Yellow Tops are now made in Mexico, with the normal reduction in quality that goes with both relocating a factory and relocating it to a 3rd world country.

Having said that though, my battery has given me no trouble whatsoever.

In any case if a forum member can vouch for the reliability and quality of a particular brand then I'm prepared to try it out, I've got no particular loyalty to Optima.
