Found another service receipt last night that the service department didn't stamp the book for and didn't provide me with when they said they checked.

Defrauding company is not what I am asking advice about experiences with claims if the service history isn't immaculate.

Now that I have found another service receipt I am pretty sure that I have serviced it regularly just not right on the instructed time or speedo reading.

Thanks for the replies so far. Keep em coming.

If you've had the JK serviced at the dealer all of your service history is stored on their computer system. The only time you really need the other proof of service is if you've had it serviced elsewhere. There is a leeway on the service interval, that if you approach them in a realistic manner and not go in guns blazing as some people are wont to do, then you are more likely to get a good result.

The extended warranty is actually a bit of a rort as it is not warranty at all but an insurance against failure, so the decision to reject is more like the insurance company trying to keep your, sorry their (you've already given it to them) money.

So you'll find the dealers far more likely to carry out actual warranty work with a bigger tolerance as the money to fix comes from the car company and not from the insurer who has a different agenda.

Good luck if it is stuffed.

They have said that it wasn't serviced on three occasions and the log book hasn't been stamped for those occasions. I had a bit of a look and found that I have a receipt for one of them and it was not stamped in the book. I didn't necessarily keep the others but they didnt stamp the book for at least one that I can find.

The rego has changed twice due to loosing number plates and they have the wrong current rego. I don't think they searched their computers by name or they would have found at least the service I found.

It shouldn't be my responsibility to keep their records for them.

I am awaiting their reply.
