Default HVAC filter (cabin filter) for the XK Commander

I am wondering if there is a cabin air filter kit available for the Commander.

It's for my brother-in-law's Commander - he suffers from hayfever, so a pollen filter would be really good.

Does anyone know of an orderable part number that is specific to the Commander? I have searched on various forums and it seems that the Grand Cherokee's cabin air filter is NOT compatible with a Commander.

Thanks in advance!

The Commander does NOT have a pollen/cabin filter despite all the rubbish you read on the forums and help web sites. (The Grand Cherokee does.)You can access the front of the cabin air intakes via the L/H side plastic grill in front of the windscreen wiper grill where you'll find a aircon cabin filter screen. To find it you remove the rubber pinch strip under the bonnet on the L/H side only which holds the plastic grill and you'll find a removable fly screen. This screen is only there to stops leaves and bugs getting in. I have placed some foam rubber over this screen to act as a dust filter which I then clean in soapy water every 6 to 12 months. There is a Commander Cabin Filter for sale on Ebay via the UK but I'm unsure if this will fit. Give it ago and then let us know if it does fit.

Thanks for the response, Multihull.

I had a cursory look at the Commander and then at this Youtube video for a Grand Cherokee.

The air intake setup on the Commander looks quite different to that of the GC. I suspect that this eBay seller doesn't know that his cabin air filter is for a Grand Cherokee and not a Commander.
