Default Disc brake dilemma , need advice

Ok so here is my dilemma, I ordered a teraflex disc brake kit for the xj from quadratec and the guy I was emailing said it would fit on a dana44 no worries.
Went to instal today and wrong bolt pattern!!! I'm so pissed off!

So A) should I just sell the brake kit and instal the 44 with drums
B) instal the disc brakes on the 35 and just keep using that or,
C) instal the disc brakes on the 35 and sell as a whole assembly with air locker? What's your thoughts guys.

Sorry to hear that.
May I ask you one question? What do you expect from rear disc brakes?
Better braking performance?
It will hurt now. Rear discs do nothing to increase braking performance, due to shift load. To explain this is a complete lesson.
In short explanation the rear brakes are commonly only used to keep the direction of the vehicle.
That's it.

Improve your front disc brakes and get better discs and rotors in the front.
Then you have the performance you are looking for.
Sell the crap.

I was originally getting them for a dana44 from a tj that I bought that had no brakes to put in to my xj. Then a factory dana44 from a xj popped up so I bought it and it had the drum brakes so I was going to swap them out.

The load of an XJ is usually 60:40. When you are braking the load shifts to the front.
There is a formula for it.
But needs g-force and gravity and a bunch of other numbers.
To make it short- the load is shifted dramatically to the front.
That's the place where the work must be done.

Just ask yourself:
Do you need it?
Is it worth the expense?

The factory XJ D44 has a different bolt pattern from a TJ D44. I emailed someone in the states about this when I was considering a disc brake conversion too. Also means the WJ discs don't fit either. You probs have an MJ rear diff.

If keep the D44 and just make sure they drums are setup right. The advantages of disc over drum are way less than a stronger diff. Focus on the fronts, braided lines, service the existing drums and fronts, get good pads, drive so you don't have to stop so quickly!

It's an american car.
And every real american prefers a .45 over a .38 gun caliber.
You should too- choose the 44 with drums and skip on the 35.
