Default How long have you owned your Commander for?

I just realised I've owned the car for more than 6 years. I've never owned a car for this long, ever. I still think it a great machine, yes it may have a few little inherent issues but tell me what car doesn't. It's definitely the best car I've ever had, it's been to hell and back many times and is still fun to 4wd and commute in.

Tell me how long you've owned your Commander for?

Hi Multihull
as you know ive been poking my head in from time to time and still have my beast now since 2009 so it's coming up to 5 yrs now and have just clocked up over 210 000kms
in that time ive had the swirl port motor fail before the time when we knew how to prevent and or disengage which cost me $1800.00 to fix and also had to replace a steering rack and front diff bushes which was 2k so all in all over 5yrs I can't really complain
gee things have been changed from when I first bought it at brighton jeep in vic
being stock to now having I must update pics
a combined lift of about 4.5" in the front and and 4" in the rear
in the front it has a budget lift assist kit of 2.5" which includes cnc strut tops and poly spring spacer plus 2" dobinsons springs rated for 250kg of armor and dobinson struts jeeping by al upper arms and sway bar end links the rear comprises of 2" poly spring spacer and 2" rear dobinson springs and dobinsons 4" lift patrol rear shockies re-bushed to suit the commander the ride is absolutely beautiful I also run 265/70/17's on procomp steelies with +25 offset
I have also made some rock rails to suit and had Dmx Customs hervey bay do the rear bar for me
im sure you've seen a stock one so i'l just post a couple of pics of what it looks like now

What a great looking beast Go'ard, it reminds me of my Commander. One day we'll have to meet up, maybe Land Cruiser Park or maybe Manar Park

Had mine now for only about 14 months, 2008 Limited. Love it. Got suspension, snorkel and GDE tune from Stu at Murchison, put a set of 265/65/17 BFG's on it. Picked up a nudge bar, rails/steps and diff guard from Wanderer. Put some IPF's on it.
Getting close to what I want now
I'll have to wash it and post a pic or 2.

ive had mine from new 2006 and still love to drive it out in the scrub or on the open road .
yep had some hiccups on the way but would not change it for anything so comfatable on long trips and on rough roads.

I've owned the Commander from new March 2008, had the modified turbo inlet pipe installed from new.
Replaced all front bushes at 100,000k's, $700 to check wear, shouldn't need to be done again, minimal wear.
Will replace diff, gearbox and transfr case oils soon.
Otherwise no problems 110,000k's, happy as.
