Default Chech brake light switch

Is it going into third or just dropping out of torque converter lock up. To check this shift leaver from D to 3rd and see if it revs any harder. If it dose then it's dropping out of TC lock up. The brake light switch drops out the TC Lock up when pedal is pushed so engine dose not stall, your switch could be shot or out of adjustment, have a look at this link for more info. http://mikestrawbridge.com/blog/2011...oubleshooting/

Thanks guys!!
Lots of suggestions! !
PJD - no rev change when going from d to 3 !!
BJM - bushes seem ok? No movement !! Did change the gear leaver ! Just because there was a bit of movement in the set up !! No change !! What dose the reverse lock out look like?? And where?? Cleaned all conections that I could find !! No change !!
Rainman - naxja ! Couldent regester!! Probably cause I put an oz address !! But there was a lot of similar questions asked there ? With not a real answer !! Other than NOT to change box or to rebuild !! Main suggestions was to change solinoids ?? Or tss?? And to check electricaly?? Not being electricaly minded ?? Or have the gear ?? Mind you! ! Not all problems were fixed by replacing these !!

Question is now !!! Is there a jeep expert in central qld ???

YEE_HEE HA HA Fixed it! Had the same problem with the TC not locking up or no 4th. Been doing it for months and as its not my DD I left it for a rainy day. Today was the day and I started to look up old threads about solenoids and T/Cs and I came across some learned gentleman who asked someone else if their reverse lights were working because they were on the same fuse!! There's a fuse?? DING! December 2014 we went for a tour in my caravan and had problems with blowing fuses on the 'van tail lights. You know the rest, borrowed a fuse from a spot that didn't look like it did anything and forgot about it. Today I fitted the fuse, went for a test drive and bingo.. fixed it.
