I'm on two possible issues. One is wheel speed sensor, but this is only if the issue goes away intermittently. Check your wiring and ensure nothing is loose or rubbing against something it shouldn't be. The other thing, slightly more obscure, is the camshaft position sensor wiring that created a several week issue once I was going off road in a relatively new Jeep. If the problem doesn't go away by itself and has to reset with a dealer computer, my money is on camshaft position sensor wiring harness.

Default Abs

This happened to me 2 months ago
ABS ESP & Drunk Driver icon flashed on whilst going in traffic.
Few yards down the road went off
2 weeks ago came back
Thought is was the sensor so replaced
BUT it wasnt
IT was the hub bearing wearing out with too much play, after 71,000 miles
Replaced both front ones
So not a cheap fix after all

This is actually a good thing to note as your JK Wrangler wears out (haha only kidding), on a Land Rover Discovery 2 that has the same traction control/abs fault, one of the causes is a worn bearing hub assembly.

My 15 Jku 27000 ks now has the ABS light & TCS permanently on the dash. Both systems not working & i have no Cruise control. The lights started coming on a few weeks ago but would eventually turn off after 30 seconds of driving. Initially the lights would come on when i was reversing. I did have quite a loud squeek from the brakes when reversing which i heard can cause problems with the abs sensors. I will book it in with Jeep & see what they say.

thanks for the info
It can't be your roof rack, you have just as much chance of it being the way you brushed your hair recently as it has with a roof rack with that theory.
It's a wheel bearing or a slight chance of a WS sensor.

Take it to a Stealership and they'll confirm it's your hair style after the second visit.

follow up post for those interested.

was a Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor.

resolved by taking it to the mechanic who hooked up the car to find the fault and then replaced it.

Rant on......just driving straight on a tarred road this morning....the ESC Fail light illuminated...taking out Cruise Control, of course.
Bloody annoying electronic tomfoolery.....I'm perfectly capable of driving a vehicle without all this electronic stupidity, I wish there was some way to remove all the "lowest common denominator protection" electronics out of a JK and just leave the engine/geabox control in place......grrrrr
Rant off....
