A lot depends on the Engineering data available.....

For example if your running stock axles some mods simply won't be legally possible.... Axle upgrades give more options but may still require swerve, ESC,ABS testing depending on whether they have the appropriate data available and usable.

Engineering data belongs to those who paid for it, just because a similar rig is engineered doesn't automatically mean that another person / company can piggy back on the data.

Its expensive commercial data so make no "mines like" assumptions.

Have a chat with DBOR...... depending on what your after it may be relatively easy or of course a start from scratch task.

The more one off your rig is, the more expensive its going to be, variations on an existing engineered commercial kit may only require minor testing.

Speak to a few engineers. Vicroads has a list of approved ones. It comes down to what they are happy with.

I wouldn't be worried about accidents that are small enough that you can drive home and swap tyres. The police hardly care about minor incidents. It's when someone is seriously injured or killed that you will be in serious trouble. Whether or not the accident was your fault.

37s look huge on a jk. You will get attention. I would be making sure absolutely everything is spot on legal and rw.

The simpler option is use 33s and trailer your 37s to where ever you are 4wding. I can't imagine you are intending to do touring on them. This means you can buy a more aggressive and softer compound. Still not legal but much less likely to get caught or involved in an accident.

Jeep Konection in Doveton VIC did an engineering cert for me last year on an AEV 3.5" lift. The cost was $600.
