A tip from another thread http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...d.php?t=142961 - it appears the Lemur OBD Bluetooth adapter and it's free app for Android finds Jeep transmission codes. I have been using a OBDLink MX with Torque software but that did not find the N23 transfer case gremlin codes. Anyone want to buy a cheap OBDLink MX?!!

Haha. I assume you want a Lemur OBD now?
Definitely sounds attractive though. Wish I were more computer/PLC savvy.

Yep, I'm thinking I want the Lemur BlueDriver adapter for $99.95 on eBay. I already downloaded the BlueDriver software from the Google Playstore but as I expected it refuses to talk to my OBDLink adapter. Not that I need diagnostics just now because my WH has no problems since the P73 update. However it would give me some comfort next time I go bush to know I have an adapter I can depend-on to find all the Jeep codes.

Thanks for the info in this thread - keen to get a new stereo for my 07 GC CRD - just ticked over 275000km and think I'll run this puppy till she gives up.

So RedBaron57 I'm likely to go down a similar path to yourself, I previously got a drop in Chinese android unit for the ex wifes BMW X5.

I had a half hearted look for Jeep head units a while back but didnt follow through after I didn't find anything that I could just slot in.

If you were to do the process again which unit do you think you would go for?

There are android drop in unit now, I think I would give one a go. You could run Hema or VMS apps.

If you have the small dash bezel the 5" unit as shown in the previous post is the go - rip-out the old one, plug and screw in the new one and clip back the bezel.

If you have the large dash bezel there is no plug and play Android unit available to my knowledge. The 7" Android unit I used (Klyde KD-7009 available on Aliexpress) is a good solution but it needs a Scosche CR1289B bezel adapter, CanBus interfaces and a little bit of effort.

A standard 2 DIN unit can be used without mods to the bezel adapter but the screen is usually only 6.2".

Axxess interfaces can be trusted to work properly. (http://axxessinterfaces.com/)

Thanks Clarky - seems to only be compatible up to an 05 GC and mines 07

Will have to do a bit of hunting around it seems.

Is there an easy way to tell if I have a factory amp installed?
