I don't hear a peep out of my Nitto Terra Grappler G2s, do they become noiser as they wear?

Craig

Do remember you - you were probably a deciding influence regarding the jeep purchase.

The Jeep is great very impressed - only criticism is the lack of wheel travel compared to the disco.

Mine is only a Laredo but stacks up well against the D4, love the auto high beam, sat nav, and lots of little things you had to pay a fortune for with Landrover.

The D5's are now outrageously priced - $35K price increase.

Having said that it is great to be able to put on a decent set of tyres with out having to spend a fortune on compomotives.

The Nittos are great, very quiet, although they did have a bit of a hum at about 70 which went away after 80.

Great tyre would have got again but did not have the size I wanted 275 65 18

Cheers

Chuck

While I didn't mind the factory Kumho's, got 60k out of them, I've swapped them for Kumho KL33's and very happy with them. Quiet, handle well and 70k and counting.

Yes, that's right....I remember now!

Still enjoying my Jeep. The D5's are a crazy price.....well out of reach for most. I did test drive a Range Rover Sport V8 diesel last weekend. Very impressive, but I can buy 3 fully optioned JGC Limited's for the price of one Rangie!
I had a look at the power & torque figures of the rangie against mine.
Rangie is 250Kw & 700Nm. Mine is 224Kw & 740Nm and probably uses less fuel.

Thanks for the info re: the Nittos. I did a fair bit of research on them and the two negatives were noise and wear. I suppose it depends on what vehicle you have them on and what you use your vehicle for. A comparative tyre in the 20" is the Cooper Discoverer AT3. Have had these on two of my vehicles and have found them awesome for an AT......Quiet, long lasting and good grip.

Cheers, Craig
