Glad to hear its all sorted it out... throw the old belt under the backseat just in case this one breaks on a trail.

Where did you get the adjuster pulley from and how much did you pay? I have been quoted $48.00 - $52.00 from Repco. In removing same, is it left thread?

yeah its the idler pullie had the same prob VR pulie is the same and is only 31 bucks compaed to 180 from jeep

Finally getting around to replacing the idler pully; just wanting to confirm that the bolt is left thread?

VR commodore pully is the same coventrys sell it for $30 genuine holden part they call it a rear ideler pully i think

Normally the bolt is treaded so it tightens the same way that the belt turns the pulley when running. Have not had to replace that one yet but have replaced three of the tension pulleys in the same week which were right hand thread ( all different XJ's ).
