If I can I tend to go way overboard with camping gear. It turns into a toy comp now though. For an overnighter i just go simple swag and fridge style but i'm getting worse and worse for big stays.

Probally the best thing i've bought is the Oz-Trail Gazebo with side walls. I always thought they were the ultimate poofy thing but after i went away with one i went and got my own. In 3 minutes it just folds straight out and gives us a nice dry cooking space and the silver inside reflects light nicely. Super quick to fold up too.

When we pitch up at Wedge or down south for 4 or 5 nights at a time I take my nice big Canvas Touring tent, Stretcher and Swag, fold out Gazebo with closed in walls, Tables and stand up gas stove and all. When we have a bigger crew I also take the Generator with all the flood lights and party lights and have 3 batterys on the go for the fridges, and 12v gear in the tent. I also like to take the propper shower and showering tent for the long trips too. Also got a real big canvas bugger for when i take newbys out who dont have their own gear or for our parties down at Dwellingup.

It seems to be addictive though and over the last 12 months i've replaced pretty much everything i have so it suits me perfectly now and i don't really need anything else.

queen size swag tarp cooking box (fry pan camp oven and portable butain burner) and most important a good fold up chair

Camping to me is bare essentials.

I pretty much take the same as Tiny, Throw it all in a 100L storage box (except the swag obviously), but I also take a gas lamp & 2 torches. One thing I cant leave at home is the jaffle iron.

Toasted egg and bacon sandwiches for breaky is GOD!

I would like to get a good camper trailer soon, but doubt I can afford or justify the costs. The Mrs's wants to invest in a portable dunny tho, she worries about something biting her in the dark....

If its a reason to leave her at home, then dont get one

I was in the process of outfitting my trailer as a mini tourer with a water tank, fold out roof tent, battery, solar panel, and fitted fridge, stove & kitchen @ the back.
Also had the minimal set up for overnighters- 2 man dome, blow up mattress, sleeping bag, eski (full of alcohol), and a single burner stove.
Now its all in storage collecting dust....
Nowhere to go camping in Macau, just hotels and casinos.

For our recent and future camping trips. We ended up getting a 80L Waeco with the fridge slide mounted in the bottom along side a 150AH AGM deep cycle battery and a Mountaineer Rack along the top. We take a normal 4 person dome tent or the 9 person canvas tent depending on where we're going. We went to Wilbinga for this christmas and we managed to pack enough for a week, was good fun. Heres a couple of pics.
