Back. I have both, and I rarely if ever use the front one

But if you only had one wouldn't it be better up front seeing as the rear is an lsd?

Front for me
Its usually the front that lifts first
As you say - a LSD in the rear helps

Not all JK's have an LSD in the rear....most are like mine....open diff with BLD.
If you don't have an LSD, I'd put it in the rear diff for sure.

Do any Australian JK's have a LSD? I didn't think so. As for locker, rear, you can leave it in on turns and still steer reasonably well and less likely to bust anything in the rear, let the traction control do the work in the front.

Cheers
Steve

When you have lockers fitted you don't leave them on, you should have them turned off and only switch them on when the track conditions are about to get tough and you need the extra traction. Yes you can break diffs and axles if you leave them on when driving on a solid surface and if left on they will prevent you from doing tight turns. They can also make you slip sideways very easily, for example if your driving around the side of a very muddy or grassy or greasy hill and you have your lockers on you can slip sideways down the hill and into tress etc. When this happens flick the lockers off for better sideways traction so you don't slip down the hill.
